Pace High basketball star signs with Washington College

Surrounded by friends and teammates, Msgr. Edward Pace High School senior Armand Del Castillo signs his Letter of Intent to play basketball for Washington College.

MIAMI GARDENS | Armand Del Castillo, a Msgr. Edward Pace High School senior, continued a great Spartan tradition by signing his Letter of Intent to play basketball for Washington College.

Del Castillo is the son of Albert Del Castillo, a class of 1975 alumnus.

Armand Del Castillo maintained a 4.3 GPA and was the team captain of the Spartans' basketball team his junior and senior year. He led the team in scoring last season with an average of 18 points per game. He scored 998 points in his three years on the Pace basketball team, including 170 3-pointers. 

The signing ceremony took place inside the Spartan Center in front of the Pace student body, Del Castillo’s coaches, teammates, and family.
