HIALEAH |  Our Lady of the Lakes  School hosted its second annual Cross Country Invitational at Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah, Sept. 12, with 12 schools from the All Catholic Conference participating in the races. These included a 1.5 mile race for the boys and girls in the junior varsity division, and 2 miles for the boys and girls in the varsity division.

The Cheetahs performed very well with seven runners who finished in the top 25 in their respective races, including a sweep in the boys and girls varsity divisions with Michael Sanchez and Danielle Martinez finishing first overall.

Michael, a seventh grade student, finished the 2-mile course in 13:03; and Danielle, also in seventh grade, finished in 14:00. The Our Lady of the Lakes JV boys, JV girls, and varsity girls teams finished in fifth place overall, and the varsity boys team finished in third place overall.
