Here's how to pray for Synod on the Family

Using Pope Francis' own words

MIAMI | Here is the prayer that Pope Francis has asked people throughout the world to pray daily for the Oct. 4-25, 2015 Synod of Bishops on the Family.

Speaking to those gathered for a general audience this March, on the feast of the Annunciation, the pope explained that "prayer is necessary" and this prayer "is for the good of everyone."

"The Church, as a mother, never abandons the family, even when it is disheartened, wounded, and mortified in so many ways; it will always do everything to seek to cure and heal it, to invite it to conversion and to reconcile it with the Lord," Pope Francis said. "So then, if this is the task, it appears clear how much prayer the Church needs in order to be up to fulfilling this mission at all times. A prayer full of love for the family and for life. A prayer that knows how to rejoice with those who rejoice, and to suffer with those who suffer."

Below is the prayer. Just click on the image to download and print it.

GA! Greg, I couldn't agree more about the oraondtiin of priests, birth control, questions! Goodness gracious! All of it I couldn't agree more! I pull my hair out Why would a female that wants to be a priest not even consider become a nun!? I am without words on this topic as it just frustrates me so Glad there's another Catholic that is just as passionate about this topic! Be it two years late Adrianne

Our Lady is a work in progress. Reading comes naturaally. Many cannot read or write. Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, are considered "Project Literacy," to be chided for acceptance of strange dialects. But Korea, Germany, etc. are still number one in the world of Christ. They succeed in nationalism. But Florida?...Never heard of it. So, when praying is encouraged, it is always by their efforts and surely whosoever reads this can accept it. Please, put LITERACY AS NO. ONE IN THIS SUBSCRIPTION. Christ is risen. Sincerely Br. Mike
