Curley Notre Dame athlete breaks school cross country record

MIAMI | In her four years as a member of the ladies cross-country team at Archbishop Curley Notre Dame PrepRhian Romanik has been the team's leader and one of the region's premier runners. 

Over her career, despite missing half of her sophomore season due to injury, Rhian earned 13 first place meet victories, qualified as an individual to advance to regional championships three times and to the state championships twice (in her junior and senior years), and won ribbons and medals in 12 major invitational races in South Florida.

In addition, she has recorded the second fastest lady’s 5K time in school history, and at the state meet this year she set a new school total distance record for a four year cross-country career. Over her 3.5 seasons on the varsity team, Rhian covered 1,551.9 miles, more than any other runner - male or female - in the history of Archbishop Curley Notre Dame cross-country.
