MIAMI | The caps and gowns are put away and the
books are closed on 12 years of school. The Archdiocese of Miami’s high school
class of 2016 has penned its entry in the history books. Their legacy?
Here are some numbers, based on information
provided to the archdiocesan Department of Schools by 12 of the 13 high schools
and 1 ADOM Virtual School:
5 winners for St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort
Lauderdale, 4 for Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, and 1 for St.
Brendan High School, Miami.
The honorable mentions went to St. Thomas (3),
Columbus (2), Cardinal Gibbons (2), and one each to St. Brendan, Belen,
Carrollton, Our Lady of Lourdes, Archbishop Coleman Carroll and Archbishop
Edward McCarthy
