Archdiocese of Miami observes Good Friday

Miamiā€¦(April 1, 2015)The second day of the Holy Triduum is observed as Good Friday, April 3, and is the only day of the year when Mass is not celebrated. Archbishop Thomas G. Wenski will celebrate the Liturgy of the Lord's Passion at 8 p.m. followed by his annual Procession of the Sorrowful Mother through the streets surrounding St Mary Cathedral.

Good Friday is a day of fasting and abstinence which commemorates the passion and Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The service will consist of three parts: the reading of the Word of God, the veneration of the Cross and the distribution of Holy Communion.

St. Mary’s Cathedral is located at 7525 Pope John Paul II Ave (N.W. 2nd) Miami, 33150.
