MIAMI | On Oct. 7, St. Brendan Elementary’s Pre-K students celebrated St. Francis of Assisi by having their pets join them at school today for Pet Day. The students’ pets enjoyed a morning with their owners and received the annual blessing in honor of the patron saint of animals. The students are thankful for so much, even the love their pets give them each day.

For many Pre-K students at St. Brendan Elementary, the best part of celebrating the feast of St. Francis of Assisi was bringing a beloved pet to school.
