MIAMI SPRINGS – The world famous Harlem Globetrotters and Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel, the team’s official hotel partner, hosted Blessed Trinity Catholic School’s first grade class along with a select group of fifth through eighth grade basketball players on March 1.

The children were treated to snacks and story time, as the Globetrotters read “The Happiest Kid in the World.” In addition, the Globetrotters dazzled the kids with some of their signature ball handling moves, signed autographs and posed for photos with the students.

According to their website, ‘The Give Happy Challenge’ is a basketball inspired competition that encourages kids and adults alike to discover their ability to make the world a happier place and, in turn, make themselves happier people.

A definate Thank You should go out to the General Manager of the Howard Johnson and 1st grade Dad, Armando Hernandez. He was the person responsible for the wonderful time that Blessed Trinity students and teachers had that day. Armando you made it possible and we sincerely thank you for it.
