Holy Cross one of best hospitals in Florida

According to U.S. News and World Report rankings

FORT LAUDERDALE | Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale has been ranked as one of the top three of 64 hospitals in the Miami metro area, and tied for 10th in the state, in U.S. News and World Report's annual Best Hospital rankings for 2017-18.

The rankings, now in their 28th year, are designed to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive care for life-threatening conditions or for common elective procedures. The rankings also recognized Holy Cross also as high performing in eight common adult procedures and conditions: aortic valve surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, colon cancer surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hip replacement, knee replacement and lung cancer surgery.

For the 2017-18 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions.
